We love our LX7. We use it for taking travel pics and for insects in our wild-flower garden. I've been waiting for something similar from Panasonic but with 4K video.
I poo-pooed these sort of Panasonic point and shoots cameras before, but I have to say that this new ZS100K is really something for this amateur photographer.
Touch screen
4K Post Focus, 4K Photo, 4K Video
120fps 1080p...I like that.
Pop-Up flash that looks like you can bend it backward, which I use a lot on my GX7 for insects flash bounce off of leaves and such
10X...250mm equivalent. I don't care about the zoom that much but it's nice it is 10x, I guess
View-Finder, though it does look tiny and I tend to use just the screen for insects and such
Wi-Fi control via my tablet or phone...nice for bird stuff in our backyard
5X IBIS, which is perfect for these 56 year old hands. And it works in video too.
I plan on selling my GX7, GH2, and LX7 to maybe Adorama to help pay for this $700 camera.
The first digital camera we bought was 2004's Canon S70 and that was $700 at the time. I'll still be spending $700 but the features sure have changed in 12 years, huh?
The Canon still takes great 7MP pics, but it doesn't get used that much anymore.
Anyway, it's looking like this new camera will be our LX7 replacement.
