Dji Ronin or 7Q? What will add more value to my work?

Deciding on next purchases. What do you guys think? What will give more value? Of course it's subjective, dependant on type of my work, but it's such a variety that I cannot put myself in a box. I do own steadicam type of device and I do own Ninja Star, so you could say I own their poorer relatives ;)
Thanks for advices!

Do you need 10bit uncompressed or RAW footage? Is that what your clients are asking for? Do you do a lot go CG work? If any of these are yes, the Odyssey7Q would be a serious asset.

If the answer is no....you and your clients are happy with the AVCHD files you're presently outputting, I would go with the Ronin. It would certain allow you more creative camera moves. Of course, it does nothing for you if you do a lot of interviews and static/slider shots.

They are completely different technologies that honestly I would recommend you buy both. So maybe buy which ever one is going to help you get more paid work right away, so you can buy the other.

Does the FS700 fit on the Ronin yet? I thought it needed some updated longer 'arms' or something?

My FS700 fits on the ronin without extension arms. However, only with a very lightweight lens, and I have to tape down the SDI cable (straight connection) that feeds to the 7Q.

Cinemilled makes great extentions, for $300. This way you can do wireless follow focus and heavier lenses no problem.

To the OP, I agree with seanmc. If your clients and your needs don't call for 4k raw or ProRes, and your atomos unit is giving the images that you can make money off of, the Ronin will do wonders for your production value. However, if you find yourself in a position where you need the extra imaging power of the 7Q, then skip the gimbal for now.
-Best of luck!
