So having read dozen or so threads I am convinced I am not the only one questioning some conflicts with the camera. I am talking about when I burn to dvd there is odd compression artifacts in shadow areas. The problem I have is i dont see it in the monitor when I am filming. So is the problem in the post when burning? Because I have used every setting known to man when dealing with this issue in FINAL CUT and DVD STUDIO PRO. I export using compressor using a high bi rate.
When i look in my monitor i can kind of see odd compression in shadow areas. Why is it the footage posted by other people in the clip section looks so clean? And a couple of people is have personal messaged have told me they havent done anything special in settings with the camera. I realize the image is shrunk so noise and compression is reduced. But even when i have s mall clip i can see errors.
