Distorted image in record with monitor.

I have a Manhattan HD089B monitor that shows a squashed image during record.

Anyone have any insight into how to make this right?

Hey Chris,
I have the same problem with my iKAN. I leave my monitor set for 4:3 as that is the output of the cam. But in playback then I go back to 16:9. Bit of a pain but that is all the info I have for now.

Yeah, apparently all the small LCD monitors behave this way. It's odd thought that the Toshiba 19" TV I use as a client monitor always displays the correct aspect ratio from the 5D.

I thought about switching the onboard to 4:3 and back, but with the monitor I'm using, it takes too long to come back up.
