I am about to buy an HD camera but i want to be able to watch my HD footage on my TV from the camera or, just watch the HD footage on my TV in anyway possible in the HD signal. I have a 1080i capable tv and was wondering:

How the hell can you watch the HD footage without having an output on the camera capable of sending out the HD signal??

Correct me if im wrong but you need component cables, DVI, or HDMI or firewire. and my tv doesnt have fire wire but has the other 3. please help.!!

thank you

All of the existing and proposed consumer/prosumer-priced HD cameras have the ability to output analog component signals. So you'll just plug in via component to your TV...

There is no way that you can send a component signal out of the 1/8th inch jack that the camera outputs its video from. is that the output you would run the component cable from? im just really confused

No, there's a special component cable that comes with the camera. It plugs into a small connector specifically for component video on the camera.
