display 3:4 or auto?

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone could tell me what's the difference between those 2 sets:

in the menu, shooting with the display to 3:4 or the display to auto.

It doesnt affect the shots, right? Its only the display on the lcd panel? So what's the difference between both?

It only affects the LCD. In 4:3, it forces the image to use the full 4:3 panel regardless of whether it should be shrunk to 16:9 or not. This may give you a few more pixels on the screen for more accurate focusing, but will result in the image looking stretched when using "squeeze" mode.

"auto" auto-switches between 4:3 and 16:9 based on what mode the camera is in, or what mode the footage you're playing back was shot in.
