dispelling operational ambiguity on the Tokina 11-16mm

I have spent a bit of time combing the forum to try and figure out how the aperture is controlled on this lens.
-Can someone just spell out clear as day what I need to use this lens on the AF100?
- Do I need another adapter or something to control aperture?
- Does the Nikon Mount version have a barrel control for the aperture?
- If so, are there hard stops on it?

Thank you, and sorry if this has been dealt with extensively and I'm just not seeing it. Perhaps this will provide a concise guidepost on this lens, or perhaps I am just an off-base newbie.

Thanks!

In case you were hoping for a little more elaboration... There is no Aperture ring on the Nikon Mount version. However many manufacturers make adapters that allow you to open and close the aperture manually, but there are no hard stops or markings, so no way to tell which aperture you are shooting at other than wide open, and fully stopped.

The top of the line adapters are the Adaptimax and Novoflex, they feature a more robust build quality. However if your on a budget I recommend the adapter from fotodiox/rainbow imaging. I use it with my 11-16 with no complaints.

You need a nikon G/DX lens adapter (such as the novoflex and adaptimax everyone has mentioned) to adjust the aperature ring, other than that little drawback, it is a GREAT lens (companies convert it into a PL mounted cine-lens, it is that good). Hard stops, parafocal, fast constant aperature (and yes, 2.8 is REALLY FAST for a constant aperature 11-16mm parafocal lens that will cover s35, especially for $600), there is little to no breathing (as if you are really pulling focus at 11mm...), and is sharp. Really, what more can you ask for. Buy it, and you won't regret it (especially if you get it in the nikon mount).
