Here's a short film we shot with the T2i using various lenses. Not sure which ones, but if you really want to know I can find out. I used effects from Video copilot and edited the short with After Effects and Premiere. It took about 4.5 hours to film and about 15 hours to edit.

An old hitman is trying to leave the business. Another hitman comes to kill him. Theres a small twist at the end.

I'm not sure what lens you used, but it looks a lot like the stock lens due to the sharp contrasty look. I thought the grading was unappealing, it has a videoish look mainly because of the highlight issues. The next thing I thought was bad was the acting, It's obvious neither have any real experience. Their emotins were flat and void. The effects were about as basic as you can get, The video copilot effets can look great if you take the time to feather them in, and get the nuances where they need to be. The story was rather cliche, but the ending helped.

Now that I pointed out what I thought needs work, this is what I thought you did well. The camera angles were good, the fight looked pretty good. I think it was the strongest part of the acting. the audio wasn't bad either.
The fact your shooting these and posting for input is cool, it shows your enthusiasm and that your wanting to improve your production value. Not to mention you guys all seem pretty cool, with a good sense of humor from what I watched on the BHS. Im looking foreward to seeing the next one.

I'm not going to argue with that! Thanks for your thorough analysis. I really like it when someone takes the time to review my work and give me their opinion.

This was our first short film and are really looking to do more; hopefully getting better as we continue. Glad you're looking forward to the next one because it will be posted on Friday.
