Disguising a voice in FCP

In FCP, under Audio FX, there are "Apple Effects" and "FCP Effects". Under Apple FX is AUPitch. There has to be something better than this. Right?

If you need to do some real audio processing then you should probably get your hands on a DAW. I've used Pro Tools and Sound Forge. You might be able to get away with doing what you need in Audacity, which is free.

I think you can do a pitch shift on a voice - without slowing down the timing - in Soundtrack Pro (Part of Final Cut Studio). Usually that's enough.

This may sound dumb, but if we really need to protect a person we have someone else say the original line and we process that rather than risk the bad guys hiring someone with my skills to reveal the original voice.

All he Best!

If you go with a DAW to use in an FCP suite, go with Logic Express or Pro. Much less expensive, easier and faster to learn, use, and integrate with FCP.
