Discrepancy on model no and name on camera body

[kenzofreak]

Hi,

I just discovered that what I have always thought of my camera as a AG-DVX102 A like it says on the outside of the LCD display, but on the back of the viewfinder tube, above the serial numer it says: Model No: AG-DVX102AEN. Why is this? Have I been tricked by the seller?

To add to the frustration I have found a buyer for the camera and discovered this after posting the sales add and discussing price w buyer. Oh...

I thought the abbreviation for "number" in english was NO and and that the word "name" was always written in it' entirety, so maybe Im on the safe side???

Total confussion!!!!!

But Live Concert on the stereo w Radiohead prevents from mental breakdown by technical obscurities :2vrolijk_08:

You have a legitimate southeast asia/NZ/Aus model. That's the model number for a DVX102A in that area of the world.

Thanks Barry!
I bought it from an Australian guy so that fits.

So the reason for dvx100a outside and dvx102aen on the tube is because of streamlining production then?

Or is there two different versions, one dvx100a and one dvx100ae? Upgrades/technical differences, not territorial.

Only territorial.
