Disconnect the Dots - A 48 Hour Film entry

that was a very impressive story!! honestly, I'm quite impressed with how touching that was for a 48 hour film.

I'd say the only part to critique was sometimes switching from a static shot to handheld back and forth was a bit disconnecting for me. Also, color temperatures within the house didn't match up from all the sunlight spilling in. And lastly, the shallow DOF sometimes I felt I could have done without, since some shots were out of focus, it seems like it was creating a feeling that wasn't intended.

but that was just as far as the aesthetics, but storyline, and characters are A+. good work!

I agree, the story was great. There were some weak performances, but easily overlooked with such a strong script.

Other than a few dropped focus shots, your only technical gaff was the line jumping during the conversation between the two women (from about 3:40-4:30). You could actually easily correct this by flipping one of the reverses horizontally. The backgrounds are non-descript enough that no one would notice, especially if you flipped the shots of the sister-in-law.
