Dirty Glass

There is a terrific number of tiny spots on my lens that appear VERY clearly in brighter conditions when I'm using anything but a wide angle adapter. I've tried wiping them off with lens cleaning tissues and cloths and they don't budge. It looks almost like some kind of mist/spray fell onto it and dried permanently. I really don't want to have to send this off to be cleaned being in the middle of a project..

I agree. Get it cleaned by a pro and then protect your lens with a filter.
