Dirt on my sensor!

Well i noticed a speck of dirt on my sensor a week ago i have used the automatic sensor cleaning method and it did a nice job of removing it but, i can still see a bit of smudge. I would like some advice on manual cleaning the 5d sensor. Im afraid to even try. Thanks!!

Just read the manual i guess ill be taking it to a canon service center.

While it is certainly possible to clean the sensor yourself, (there are kits made with the necessary tools/supplies), I just normally take my cameras to Calumet and have them clean the sensors. Check with the store in NY and see if they have an in-store cleaning event. They do here in Calif. next month and I will be taking my 5D2, 7D and D700 in for cleaning. It is only $20.00 per camera.

I bought a expensive cleaning kit and basically i f****D it all up in the end it had to go back to canon to get the shutter replaced, all because i saw a little smudge so beware
