Hello all. I've been a lurker on and off, and have been shooting a new show with the HVX for broadcast. I now have a problem I don't see addressed in the searches I did (if I am wrong, please correct me).
Whenever we shoot into a backlit or 3/4 lit scene, there are white spots (not specks, but large white spots) here and there on the lens. They appear in the same place. Cleaning the front elements does not help.
This camera has been used almost exclusively inside, but there were a few days in the high desert.
Question: Has anyone had trouble with dust/dirt/debris between zoom elements? As the spot is soft, not hard or hard-edged, with this cam's depth of field, I am thinking this might be some crud knocked loose inside the lens barrel.
Also, any idea on turn-around at Panasonic repair? I need this thing as we have 6 more episodes to go!
Any input appreciated.
