Dirge Within Music Video

Looks awesome man! Killer set! How do you think the 5Dmkii did as oppsed to what the RedOne might have done? Any issues for you with 30p, personal or technical?
 
What an impressive video! Gorgeous looking. Love the pyro! Did you use the XH A1 for the really shaky cam shots? I noticed some of the shaky cam had 'jello' while most of the time there was no jello during even violent moves. How did you find using the 5d for setting exposure--you did an excellent job--very consistent exposures. Great video - hot band!

Red is definitely the superior camera in terms of image quality. 5dmkii is dam close though.

30p wasn't that bad, of course native 24p would be nice. I worked in sony vegas 9.0 and converted the clips.

The canon xh a1, we had to brighten the images during post because it was a little dark but in the end it matched up pretty well. The 5d is awesome when it comes to exposure.. I love the iso control and it is very light sensitive. I wanted to stay at f1.8 to maximize shallow depth of field. The jello shots are definitely the 5d.. the others that are not jello as xha1 shots
 
how did you manage thos smooth slow-mo parts? neither the 5d or a1 can overcrank, pretty good job.
