I have also fallen in love with my actress. We have worked on 2 features together and now our third. She is now part of the crew and a vital asset to the team. It started out as chatting on set then texting. Then the flirting started. She is married as well as myself. We still continue to text and stuff but everything is very low key. Only one crew member knows as I confided in him. We have never done anything but talk with occasional hugs. She has told me things and opened up to me more than with her husband and I have done the same. There is a big emotional attachment and attraction on both sides. I think she is scared for anyone to find out as she doesn't want her marriage to end as I don't want mine to end either. So now we are "friends", but I think under the right scenario it could escalate. I am going to try to plan out of town trips to festivals and stuff to see where this will go. She knows that I love her and is still talking. Lol I know this is an old thread, but do you still love the actress or was it just a thing?

As a guy who used to sleep around a lot - this board is NOT a good source of information on romance of any kind. Majority of men have a twisted understanding of man/woman relationships and current culture isn't exactly helping it by expecting men to be half-men. Honestly, if you were a man in true sense of the word you wouldn't be whining here but rather take matters in your own hands. Actresses (and actors) like to be told what to do so that they can reshape those orders and deliver a performance that lets them learn something profound about themselves. This stands dangerously close to what men like - feeling of power and giving orders that others listen to. But it's not the same. As men we gravitate to hierarchy (i'm in charge so i get to tell you what to do and in turn you listen and do as i say). This is not the same as the actors giving in to your requests to become more fulfilled via profound self-discovery.

Philosophy and psychology aside. If you are a man, then do what feels right. Don't listen to anyone who stands in your way. MANY successful relationships started on film sets. MANY successful marriages started with affairs. Power relationship is a fundamental pillar of any successful relationships - you give in a little you take a little.

Encouraging someone to help their love interest break their wedding vows.

Just....wow.

"wedding vows", LOL! Apparently, the key offence here is not that the other person will be hurt, that they will feel betrayed, that a lot of history you have with that person is now destroyed. Nope. The thing to focus on is "marriage vows", because boy, the thing that a person who has just been so traumatised is really concerned with is "but he broke the MARRIAGE VOWS!!!UNO!!!". Wow indeed. Some people live on a different planet. There's a lot of talk about the deep divisions in this country, but that's a division all over the world, not just here. A division in humanity. Because we'll never understand each other. I will never ever understand the person who is so focused on the externalities, the formalities, the technicalities that they think that's the most important thing, rather than it being completely secondary to the thing that's really key, the content. It's like coming out of the museum talking about all the frames of the paintings and when you ask but what about, you know, the paintings, they never even looked at them, because to them it's all about the frames ("marriage vows"). Personally, I have not thought a single time about my "marriage vows" since I was married 18 years ago, but I've been focused every day on making sure my wife is happy. We've had an amazing marriage so far, and never once spoken about "marriage vows". So yeah, "wow" all around I guess.

The heck with marriage vows - make sure your partner is happy, that's all, never mind a piece of paper here or there, and never mind external nonsense, spoken words and such. Deeds, not pleads.
