Director you're most influenced by...

peter jackson for lotr, it's just epic

speilberg for indiana jones, last crusade is my fav

lucas for star wars, mostly 4 5 & 6

robert rodriguez, the guy came form nothing with a love of filmmaking, and made it happen. i'd love to work with that guy. you should read his book "rebel without a crew"

It's a good question. Obviously a lot of the big names out there have massive influence: Ford, Hitchcock, Welles, Spielberg, Lucas, ect. I could go on for a while.

What influences me more than anything though is actually the stuff I see from other people on this site. I check out pretty much every screen grab or video clip and that has more influence on my idea of style, composition, lighting, sound, and camera movement than anything I see on the big screen. I guess my mind says: if this guy can do it, why can't I? It is more influential to me than anything else.

Even from the ****, which I consider myself part of, I learn a lot. That influences and motivates me. Different strokes for different folks, you know?

I agree, the crappy stuff isn't motivational or impressive, but I learn what not to do by watching it.

man i wish i could be on that **** list! and have my own prod. co. and make millions but then again i wouldn't be here talking to you guys and i would miss that. i would have to go with Callaghan on his choices. i like the old fashion straight story no frills
