Directions for conducting the Odyssey Q7 update (Windows 7)

To save others some time/heartache:

The directions for updating in Window 7 are not even close.
Read the instructions, but the key elements are:

1. Format at least one SSD in the 7Q.
2. Connect it to your computer.
3. Click on the download button at the CD website.
4. You will find a bunch of files under your download folder. These will be automatically extracted (at least that's what happened to me).
5. Using Windows Explorer (etc.) Drag the }ODYSSY_UPDATE{ folder to the SSD (top level).
6. Use hardware eject before you remove the SSD.
7. Remove video cables from the 7Q.
8. Put the SSD in the 7Q and start it up.
9. Follow instructions (click OK).
10. The 7Q will give you feedback on progress. Takes about 20 min.
11. Go back and reformat the SSD so as to regain the space.
