Digitizing film cameras

It's a cool idea, but not practical. If anything, the most practical approach would be for these stupid camera designs we have now, to take a lesson from Film. *Cough, cough* FS100... *cough, cough*

Theres another company thats done this too but i can't recall. Yet it doesn't seem to have caught on anyway.

Me Ill take the FS100 style any day. A box is all I want. The smallest possible. Let me make it into what I want. Thats what a Panavision was; a small box with a gate and mechanical threading gears. The rest of it was all add on after the fact. And of course the film magazine which became an appendage to be incorporated or extended onto the box. The magazine is gone and now we're left with only a box and a thousand companies that offer the ability to customize to your needs. The real problem now is you have to weed through those companies to find the ones that actually know what they're doing and not spend time and money on ones that don't as well as the Chinese knockoffs that offer copied bad design cheaper.

Solid camera is one that know s what its doing in terms of viewfinders for sure:

And Berkeysytems also for peripherals:

But I will miss the optical viewfinder.
