I have two Olympus WS-311M digital recorders. These are ultra small and slip right into pockets when you need wild sound or back up sound for one and only shots like weddings.
Some of the special features of these recorders are the fact that they have both ear phone and mic jacks on top in addition to a built in mic. They work great with external mics. The volume is adjustable and even in the highest quality they'll record up to 8 hours and 50 minutes.
In addition, they have their own USB plugs. Just slip the L shaped cover off and plug them straight into your computer to download the audio tracks.

To go along with the two recorders I have two ATA-35s powered lav mics. These are high quality Audio Technica lav mics with a battery space so they can provide their own power. Each mic has a 10-12' cable and 1/8" phone plug. Perfect for most prosumer cameras and the digital recorders above.
Also included are two batteries. One is completely unopened. The other packaged has been opened but it should be fine still.
$50 for each combo of one recorder, one lav mic and one battery, or $90 for both shipped.
