Digital Optics Professional Series

[thunderman]

I just received my DVX-100B and have the opportunity to purchase the Digital Optics Professional Series 2X Telephoto lens as well as the 0.5X Profesisonal wide Angle Lens - Super Compact Titanium Series (Infrared Compatible) both for $440. Pros/cons? Are they compatible with the DVX and if so is it a good investment or save my $$$? Thanks for all advice/input.

Ok. I did some searching on here and noticed very little about the Digital Optics lenses, except that they are worthless, junk with little effect. If anyone has had a positive experience with them, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll save my money.

I don't think you'll find a positive review on those products. They're very, very low quality, and don't work well with the DVX at all. Considering you could buy the premium Schneider Century Optics 0.6x wide-angle adapter for $330, the Digital Optics can only be considered a massive ripoff. Especially when you can find them on ebay for $60 or so all the time. Which would still be a waste of $60 IMHO, but at least you wouldn't be wasting $440.
