Digital Noise (Please Help)

We were recording last night for the new flesh, and we ran into a problem we also have our jason fan film. we're getting digital noise when we upload, not on the dvx itself. we're using a panasonic PVDV as a deck to upload into premiere. we didn't check playback on the dvx because it's supposed to mess with the heads. here's a link to a small render of footage i put up to show.

That's a classic head clog. Try a Panasonic brand cleaning tape and see if that helps. I would say play the tape for about 10 seconds. If it's still pixilating, as long as your source tape is a Panasonic brand, there should be no problem using your DVX100 as a playback deck when you're in a pinch like this. You may have to go out and get another PVDV if the cleaning tape fails to unclog the head.

Thanks so much for your help. So your'e saying the noise wouldn't appear if we used the DVX as the upload deck? And we're shooting on panasonic master tapes, it's all my director shoots on. the pvdv is brand new, so hopefully i don't need to look into another one lol. do you think that the cleaning tape would work on the PVDV? Maybe get both of the heads cleaned up nicely?
