Looks like it was shot on 35mm... ...mad props to him. Its like 110% better than "free your mind". For a moment i thought it was done with 35mm... Lemme see if I can find it in the archive

^The thread about the uninvited video is monumental, I wouldn't even try to read all that. Matt Mcdermitt is unusually talented.
Regarding the latest; I found the faces to be shocking. I thought it worked, the effects are very skillful. It would have been even more powerful had the character reacted with more trepidation.

This is a well done and executed video. I enjoyed it, and the effect was quite humorous. I know people are kind of giving it somewhat hohum reviews, but this is better than 80 percent of the stuff that comes through here.

Hiro obviously hasn't been around that long. That was prolly the hottest and most sought after video on the web solely because of its thread on this sight.
This DI project doesn't touch "uninvited". If you havn't seen it yet (god bless you all) WATCH IT!

Seems to me that the face distortoins weren't overused - they WERE the story. I get it. It's too easy to slice everyone's work to shreds. But I guess you have to expect that when you put it out there. I thought it was a pretty cool clip.

It's a very nice video, my favorite shot is the one where the guy running runs through the gate at night...very nice lighting.
The performance footage was outstanding, as well...crane shots like that are rarely seen in videos like these (not pro).

Reminds me of one of the video's by Chris Cunningham I can't seem to remember the name of the video but not even close to the look of Chris Cunningham's video I think the video was of Bjork :-/ one of the ways I would have achieved the look of the face's being swollen there is a plugin for symphony called (PINCH) that would have given the same look but in my own opnion would have looked better. I have to agree with the rest this does not show of the dvx
I think the piece by Rich lee really showed what this camera can handle.

How do you stop the common nosebleed?
Most people who develop nose bleeding can handle the problem without the need of a physician if they follow the recommendations below:
Pinch all the soft parts of the nose together between your thumb and index finger.
Press firmly toward the face - compressing the pinched parts of the nose against the bones of the face.
Hold the nose for at least 5 minutes (timed by the clock). Repeat as necessary until the nose has stopped bleeding.
Sit quietly, keeping the head higher than the level of the heart; that is, sit up or lie with the head elevated. Do not lay flat or put your head between your legs.
Apply ice (crushed in a plastic bag or washcloth) to nose and cheeks.

I loved the music, but like others, the face distortions kinda ruined it for me. After watching it several times I felt it got a little on the annoying side. imho

This video didn't do it for me. The distorted face gag just came across like a gimmick. I didn't identify with the 'story' at all.
The timing, cuts, lighting, composition, is all up to par; I just think the facial distortions were too overblown in this one. It might have been a much more interesting video if the distortions were subtle, making the viewer think, 'did I just see that?!'
Was this shot on the DVX? I thought Matt and his gang had moved to using the XL2?
