hmm..I can't say anything right now.

damn..

DAMN.

Re: Digital Interference NEW VIDEO!

Dang, those people were fugly. How do you even come up with a concept like that. Wierd as hell, ...but in a good way ;D

Re: Digital Interference NEW VIDEO!

How did u get the girl and others to look ugly and swollen? I'd like to learn that too.

Nicely cut video. I'd like to make a project like that.

Re: Digital Interference NEW VIDEO!

I didn't really think this video was that good compared to there other music videos. The lighting was flat and it was the same ole' music video. I liked the video, don't get me wrong, i liked it, just didn't do it for me.

:-/

:-/

I dont know why - Im just not feeling it :-/ - the effect is great but just seems cheaply used in context -
(I' used a similar effect in a tongue 'n' cheek way on one of my projects)
Its kinda like " if you can't pull off amazing cgi in todays world " leave it to the someone who can  :)
The idea & styling in the video just seems stale & nothing new - almost cliche & dated - dare I say..
I think lately - there is a shift in quality & everyone seems to be getting past trying to match whats already outhere from the big leauges - I think most peeps are raising the bar nowadays & trying to break new ground that hasn't been touched before.

You guys are cabable of better ( probably ? ) so - Im not overly impressed  - unfortunately :-/ :-*
All said & done tho - better to create than to to do nothing ( as long as you progress )

The track is'nt too hot either - maybe thats part of the prob also.

too be honest - im not sure it does - show off the cam that well - peeps like rich lee -  jason( forgotten his 2nd name ? but excellent work music video posted here awhile back )  & your very own matt who have definitely shown the dvx at its best but each to thier own.
Just saying it like it is with the upmost respect :)

Re: Digital Interference NEW VIDEO!

Very impressive special effects. Hazard a guess the faces were from a dupe layer of original footage in maybe After Effects. Individual faces would have been cut out, distorted, and alpha channeled (keyed) back over original footage? But would have needed LOTS of manual rotoscoping and tracking of the keyed elements as there were a lot of faces, and faces turning and moving. But would like to know for sure how it was done. Must have taken a long time. Most impressed with the concept and execution. These guys are incredibly talented and accomplished at such a young age, whether or not you like the music or the video.

Re: Digital Interference NEW VIDEO!

Not my style of music, but I found by the end I enjoyed it.

Granted it might not be "all that" cutting edge but I think it was done very well. Not everything has to push the DVX to its limits.

Congratulations - good work

Re: Digital Interference NEW VIDEO!

I have to kinda agree with CB on a lot of points, I have watched a lot of the vids here and really enjoyed them but this one left me unimpressed and I really didn't see anything in it that I haven't seen before especially in a music video. The face distortions though they were probably a pain to do just seemed like an overused effect, just being honest!

That's kind how I feel. I really can't say anything to bad though about DI...since everything else they have done has been pretty impressive. The effect was semi cool.. but semi lame at the same time. Wasn't too scary to me... and sort of reminded me of something they would do with a Ludacris video. I liked the crane work though.... I dont see that too much.

Overall I would give it a C+ :)

Re: Digital Interference NEW VIDEO!

DUDE I'm 20 I thought it was hilarious! Some of the shots were kinda eh... But some were like... thats frikin awesome! So I give it an A- can't wait to see more! You can only get better... hopefully ;)

Re: Digital Interference NEW VIDEO!

I personally thought the effect was quite well done. I think that it might have been cooler if done with actual makeup and latex, then maybe an effect similar to this one over that, however, the tracking and rotoscoping were very clean. The video kinda reminded me of the classic twilight zone episode where the woman wakes up and she is beautiful, but everyone around her is strangely deformed. however, by the end you find out that she is not beautiful, it is infact her who is deformed from everybody else.
