Digital Betacam question.

okay so i have a short film i want to submit to the student academy awards. For screening they want a DVD, no problem. But if yours is choosen to compete at the next level they want a digital betacam copy, which i dont have yet. If it comes to it i'l dub one. My question is that on the form they ask what type of audio you have on your digibeta copy. You can choose from 2-channel PCM, 4-channel PCM, Dolby Digital, Dolby E. SO my question is that if i were to get a miniDV to digibeta copy what type of audince would you most likely have. I know its neither of the dolby, so which should i put down? the 2 channel or 4 channel. Thanks.

How would someone go about getting a DV->Betacam travnsfer done? Do you have to send it to a telecine lab, or something like that? What does it usually cost?

if you know someone at your local TV or produciton house, they can do it for nothing. its not difficult at all. its bascially a "dub". setup ref tone/smpte bars, few seconds of black and roll your tape.

you CAN send it to a major facility to do it but its not that crucial. anything after the DV master will be a dub anyway...
