Different video quality between the Bravia 8 II+Kodi TV and the Shield TV+Kodi

Hello, can you satisfy my curiosity?
Today I had time and I did a test with both the Bravia 8 II and the Shield TV.
I configured them perfectly the same, both the TV and the Shield TV. My HVEC video file is on the hard drive and I watched it with Kodi.
In the Bravia the connection with the Shield TV is HDMI and while connected to the TV (excluding Shield TV) directly from the hard disk there is the USB connection.
I chose the best definition regarding the connection of the TV's HDMI port. I watched a video carefully made by me (perfect in 4K at high bitrate). I noticed that the video looks different.
The video/image emanating directly from the TV excluding Shield TV is better, slightly more defined, more contrasted and bright.
In fact, using the 90 Shield TV I had to increase the contrast to Max. So I believe that the TV circuitry is better and one less signal passage can give a better image.
But I had a doubt. Maybe it's Kodi that is configured differently? Does it depend on Kodi? Another question: can you tell me how I can increase the volume when I watch the video with Kodi and Shield TV?
In fact, to listen to the audio I have to increase the volume to 70-80 with the remote control. I remember that some time ago I was watching the video with a volume of 35.
Thanks for your opinion.

I think I have already replied to this post but I will repeat.

When the hard drive is connected to the TV the TV electronics are doing the decode of your file. When the hard drive is connected to the Shield the Shield is decoding the file. So you are seeing the quality difference between the decode electronics between the TV decoder and the Shield HDMI input to the TV. It could be the TV HDMI input needs configuring. On my Sony TV the HDMI input can be set to standard or for HDR input. You may want to check that on your TV. My HDMI inputs can also have volume control too.

Ron, my HDMI are configured with maximum definition. I myself chose from Standard to a better definition.
But strangely I see my files that I have on my hard drive better if they are decoded with the TV.
Maybe it's just a feeling? But I do not believe.
I assure you that the Shield TV is also configured well.
Or maybe had my Shield TV older circuitry compared to the new TV that came out a few months ago?
