Different "maybe idiot" question about the GH13......

Hi, I hope somebody can help me... I can't find easy infos on the net, and I'm new in filming.......

I have a GH13, and I don't understand:
- I'm filming in AVCHD fully manual 25fps in FullHD, on the camera the shutter can't go under 1/30.... how can that be if the fps are 25? (I mean, the lowest shutter speed have to be 1/25, am I right? ....it's just a problem of viewing the correct info on the camera?)
- How can I set the camera to make 24fps instead of 25fps? it's possible?

1/25 would be the slowest shutter speed, i.e. this would result in the longest possible time to take a single shot with no pauses between them. For video mode the slowest shutter speed is set to 1/30. You can set values greater than 30, which means 1/[number] would be smaller, i.e. require a shorter amount of time to take a single shot, leaving pauses between them. This, of course, is no problem.

Switch the Video Output Mode to NTSC instead of PAL.

Thank you, now I can set to 24fps after formatting the SD card......

And why "for video mode" is set to start from 1/30 instead from the corresponding 25fps (1/25), I will like to have any single frame shot at the full possible time available, so 1/25.... not for a specific reason, but it's strange it starts from 1/30....??

Now 24fps off of a consumer digital device may or may not be true 24p. Many of these cameras simply shoot at the NTSC 29.97 standard and interpolate down to 24 frames per second for an output file. These usually look choppy and not at all like you expected or had in mind. Also, showing 24p footage in a home or output theater environment needs to be carefully adjusted, as any in between step or incorrect hardware process that messes with the fps will result in an unwanted visual look that neither reflects or mimics the 24p traditional film look.

So if "these cameras" shoot at 29.97fps, (GH1 too?) maybe is just for this reason that the shutter can't go under 1/30 ???
Then I notice on the GH13, if I set it to HD instead to FHD (same AVCHD full manual), I have a lot of more control of shutter speeds from just 1/2 second and over (even 1/25).... FHD can't handle those Shutter Speeds??

I understand that 24 or 25fps it's the same..... same look.
Obviously mine are noob questions..!!? but I don't have too much time to check infos, correct me :)
