diff between 100a 100ap

Hi,
Could anyone explain what the dvx100ap is? I order the dvx100a and I've never heard of the ap version. Did I get taken?

"Don't panic. They're the same thing. All the literature talks about the DVX100, and that's what you order, but when the box arrives it says DVX100P on it. The DVX100A, of course, is shown as DVX100AP.

P stands for "Panasonic, North America"; it doesn't stand for PAL the way it would on a Sony cam. If this were a 625/50 ("PAL") camera, it would have the E (Europe) suffix instead of the P"
