I was wandering last night, did you shoot something while having this message flashing in your viewfinder / LCD Screen? I know what kind of problem this message means and I don't want to discuss of it. Just want to know if you had to shoot with this problem?

This doesn't stop me to film whatever I like, it's annoyong when it starts, but I got over it. I've got one project in Post and a second in production. I'll show what it's like when the to of them are done. Afterwards my DVX100 is going to repairs! :-P

I bought a junker DVX a while back that had this message on it, and found information on it hard to come by. If I recall correctly, the message indicates some kind of fault in the optical image stabilization system. I think a few people managed to fix it by reconnecting some ribbon cables inside, but there was no clear understanding of the cause or fix for this. That said, it doesn't seem to prevent the camera from operating, but you may not have image stabilization. The question is do you want to risk a shoot with the camera in that state. I shot a short film on mine with the error showing the whole time - your mileage may vary.

In 24 hours, I shall put online my video I was shooting will the PSD NG message. Your right about the Image stabilization, I had to put the SmoothCam plug-in to stabilize it. It work quite well, but took some time to work out!
