wasn't there supposed to be a major announcement for the GH4? an upgrade or added facility in firmware - I seem to recall the chatter about it but can't seem to find anything

He is Tired...I'm interested in the added USB functionality. If you could tether to a tablet, you could mount that to a camera and use that instead of a monitor. You can do that with Wifi now but I've found it laggy and choppy as well as a pain to connect. Also if you could get 1080p full screen that would be great, as there are a lot of low cost tablet options with 1080p screens with good color.

That's the problem with forums. Some one says something new is coming on one forum, someone repeats it on another one with an added wish list, a third forum then gets the wish list as if it's real info, this new 'real info' then circulates to more forums and suddenly it must be true because everyone & everywhere says it is. I even remember reading somewhere that raw dng was also going to be included, with another one saying ProRes was.

Never get excited about unannounced features, because they're unannounced for a reason ;)
