Did everyone have a nice Valentine's Day?

My new roommate who is SOOO strictly just a roommate sent me a dozen red roses and a box of chocolates to my work. And he chose a vase that is red and black and in the shape of a lady's bustier/corset! :eek: I work in a professional office for an international finance and investment firm. You just KNOW the girls at work had to call me at home to tell me this "package" had arrived. I will spend the rest of my days trying in vain to convince my coworkers that I am NOT doing anything more than renting a room from this guy.

My door gets locked everynight (yes, from the inside!) when I go to sleep and its my sincerest wish that I have no dreams a'tall this night. While I do appreciate his kindness, I feel that the overall intent is somewhat misdirected if he meant for Cupid's arrow to head in my general direction.

It doesnt help that his wife ran off with my ex-husband, I suppose. Yes, yes, I know...there's a script in there just writing itself as I sit here. :p
 
Today...i got with valentines...

But i got a thing of roses for this girl i like. She was madd happy..we exchanged gifts and cards...but other girls went overboard i think.....one of them got a human size teddy bear...and another a 4 foot helium baloon...

Blackhawk, can we please get you to use a different word other than "rape"? It's highly emotionally charged and could be pretty insensitive to anyone who's been visited by that crime. Please choose your words a little more sensitively.

I was going to do a small write up concerning the real History of the dark origins of this said festival/holiday but I opted to leave it be, I rather say I had an OK day regardless of how others may have treated this day. I think I'll finish by saying love is not just for Valentine's day but for the whole year !

My wife got me 2 DVD's (Frighteners Special Edition UNrated Cut) and the The New Kids (Don;t ask)...

She got a home architecture book and a Topaz the size of my fist (Literally; kind of)

Now we are going to get some ITALIAN FOOD!

That was me a month ago. Not creepy, but an intivte to a formal dance thingy with a girl that I didn't have interest in. As socially retarded as I am with the opposite sex, this was an everest I had to climb to figure out a way to politely say no.

That said, my valentines day was full of school, tiredness, and now reading a History Chapter.... Not too exciting....

....So, I'm gonna go the cool, non-capitalist route and say that V-Day is created by the corporations and that you're all ****ing sheep for celebrating it.

I'm gonna oogle over that vanity fair picture of keira knightley and scarlett johannson in a tasteful nude position now.
 
its not like TERRIBLE companies are making money off V-day. last time i checked, hallmark and fannie may wernt associated with obesity/health insurance/terrorism. i dont really consider it a holiday and if i had to, would make my own gift cards. and it cant be bad for the economy.
