Did anyone notice the HVXs at Pana NAB booth were a little less noisy?

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone had noticed that the HVX200s in Panasonic's booth were less noisy than (previous) shipping models? I have shot/used several different HVXs and displayed them on monitors such as the BTLH800, BTLH1700W and I also own the TH42PHD8UK 42" plasma that was connected to the 2 different HVXs on display at the booth.
I could be imagining something, but the blacks (displayed on the plasma) appeared much cleaner than what I am used to seeing on my plasma.
Perhaps Panasonic used a "Select" grade units from the HVX production run? or was I seeing things?
If anyone else was there and cares to comment...I'd love to hear!

PS-I don't feel noise is a major issue on the HVX...but there's always hope a firmware update could improve things a bit.

I wondered about that too, because when I shot up into the rafters of the LVCC I did see the noise I have seen in the past with this camera. Area 51 stuff . . . we were in Vegas.

I was there helping set up the booth for my presentation. The units were brand new stock fresh out of the boxes, looked factory-sealed to me... and they performed exactly like mine does.

Not to discount that the 1/3" CCDs will produce noise in poorly lit situations, but Barry and his counterpart demonstrated a few ways where people make mistakes that add noise.
I can't wait until Barry gets his book out so I can make sure I'm getting the most from my HVX.
