That read kind of funny. It said he wanted an extension that would bring his contract up to $350 million. I'm sure I'm wrong but the way I read it, that would be a $100 million extention...for 10 years? That would have worked out to $10 million a year for 10 years (actually a bargain), so they must have reported it wrong and ARod must have wanted $350 million MORE.
 
$350 million?! The numbers he is looking for come to well over $30 million per year! That's more than the entire Tampa Bay Devil Rays or Florida Marlin's payroll! One guy, paid more than an entire team!!!

It would be half of what the Cleveland Indians payroll is! And the Indians upended the team Arod played for this year!

Now for an even more staggering fact. According to Forbes magazine, only 11 teams in all of baseball are worth more than $350 million! This means that Alex Rodriguez thinks he's worth more than 18 entire MLB teams!!!
