Synopsis
Diamond, 17, and Amber, 15, lives were nearly perfect just 5 years ago, before their younger brother died. Now their parents, Jeff and Erica, mourning the loss of their child, have become addicted to alcohol, trying to drink away the pain. Diamond and Amber's father has become abusive towards them and their mother. Their mother has grown used to the abuse, and feels the loss of their child was her fault.
Diamond and Amber, growing tired of the abuse, and their mother’s acceptance of it, run away to their older sister's (Michelle, 20) house, who has since moved out of the family home. It's a long 100 mile trip of hitchhiking and walking that let's them see the good and bad of modern society.
