Dewalt gave my power tool battery the power of usb-c

Looks interesting. All my my newest Anton/Bauer v-mount batteries have USB connectors and they come in handy all the time. One of the best things is being able to keep my iPad powered for hours on end when I've got it mounted on the camera as a prompter. If the iPad battery dies, you're screwed. Also it's nice to top off a phone, GoPros, etc. anywhere and anytime you want. I always travel with a Titon SL 90 in my backpack.

totally agree re: v-mount adding usb-c

Accsoon Power Cage Pro for iPad Pro 12.9" POWERCAGEPRO B&H Photo (bhphotovideo.com)

although pricey I ended up springing for this as I already had a lot Sony NP-F 3rd party batteries. overall works well. as a cage I'm not thrilled with mounting pattern/design, or them not considering the Apple Pencil whatsoever. The latter is a shame as I actually love the heft & ability to stand it up on a table while drawing (the main reason I bought that version of the ipad). So I am consistently unscrewing the frame, slipping it out to charge the battery on the pencil and slipping it back in via 4 sets of 2 captive screws (!) that open up the cage. Pretty lame

SmallRig makes a little battery plate for L-series Sonys that features USB-C and 12V barrel. Looked like an ideal utility solution for all those L's I have hanging around, so against my battery judgement paid money for SmallRig again.

It worked great. Once.

Would like to see a decent company make a similar thing

The lack of USB-C/PD i/o on the Kessler Mag Max was an unfortunate development. The three amp ceiling is also a bit limiting. Other than that, it’s more than a novelty providing you are aware of the limitations/have piles of DeWalt batteries.
