I have read through countless threads and have found some interesting picture profiles but I still do not understand the function certain things serve and how they affect the image for post production such DETAIL and all of the settings within it. LOW KEY SAT. I am generally shooting short and feature length films I do not need to abide by any broadcast rules so much as I can use cine gammas without a care.

Also I would like to know if anyone has a good picture profile that would create a nice film look.

Currently I have some of Alister Chapman's pp set up and also some from a Gentleman named Bill.

Thank you in advance.

This is a screen grab from outside of my window through a screen (hence the blur) I will post the settings as well but it was shot in cine gamma 1 let me know what should be fixed.

Im on trial and error here.

Unless you intend to shoot one of your features through your window, any setup advice you get based on a screen grab will be pretty pointless.

As one newb to another, you can get a huge amount of invaluable information from this site IF you are ready to make it worthwhile.

If you want setup suggestions, take the time to shoot something as professionally as you can. Post a clip or frame. (Do not use a screen grab) Give as much background information as you can (current camera settings, exposure, etc.)

Then ask a specific question, i.e. "How can I get more detail in the shadows without making them muddy?"

Have fun and enjoy the ride.
