detail level and the internet

is it beneficial to bump up the detail level when the final product is streamed on the internet? (for a sharper image)

I don't know if this helps but... I read somewhere that you would want to set your vertical detail? level to THIN for the internet. THICK for TV. MED for both uses.

thanks for the tip, i know what you are talking about,
but my main question lyes with the DETAIL setting in your scene file.
