recently dropped my dvx100100 every thing appeared fine, focus, zoom auto iris etc,
but the message `cylinder lock` appeared in v/f, and tape would not run.
Camera was sent to a Panasonic repair company, and I have been quoted £700.00 UK pounds for repair !
I asked for a parts and labour breakdown, and the drum assembly (cylinder) is quoted as costing £420.00! I find this hard to accept, as a similar job on a Sony PD 150 / 170 has been quoted to a friend of mine as, in total, about £250.00 to
£300.00
