I've never done a demo reel before... so go easy on me if this sucks..

I will have more to add to this in the coming months.. right now it only has about 5 or 6 things in it..

anyway you can download it from this site:

Dreamsoft Films Downloads

It is the bottom link.... cleverly labelled 'Demo Reel'

feedback on it is welcome.

Not bad. I think cutting the length a bit but added more clips, ie faster edits, will make it even better.
What music is that?

quicker cuts, no titles for the different clips.
intercut all the different projects.
cut it down to 2 minutes

i watched this w/ my roomate, we think you should cut down the longer shots and keep in the good framed ones. 2 minutes is a good goal. Minimize the 60I footage for your progressive far outweighs it. Good stuff :)

I have to agree with the rest. It is a little on the long side. You definately have some good snipets you can cut doen and do an exiting demo reel.

When I first began, I used to put these monumental long demo ala "music video" style. i realized that it was doing more harm than good with potential clients. With the years I learned to cut down the demo reel to "snack size" Think of it as the food court in malls...you just want to give a taste...create a buzz and excitement.

If you want check out our demo reel...short and suite...doesn't give much away. You definately have enough content to put something dynamic.
