Take a look and let me know what you think. This is all shot with a dvx except a few shots at the end.

Re: demo reel shot with dvx

I really like the camera movement, but your lighting could use some work. I mean... yeah, there's no link, but if there was, I'd probably say the same thing.

Ditto Hayden, & yes I can tell the last shot was not DVX 8)

Re: demo reel shot with dvx

The action sequence has been done too many times. Maybe if you had the girls do somekind of Karate kick or something.... ;)

Re: demo reel shot with dvx

your 2nd shot, I think the one with the girl with no teeth, its alittle out of focus. I couldn't tell if she had only two teeth or four. Did you white balanced.

Re: demo reel shot with dvx

;D wow the clip was awesome! Dude, you should of used the dvx at the end too! ;D

Re: demo reel shot with dvx

that was almost as bad as that crap I took last night!

and let me tell you... I had eaten chili all week... so it moreso resembled a brown bomb when it hit the toilet...

come to think of it... that could qualify as art... that stinky turd you made should couldn't..

I guess what I am really trying to say is... when there is no link... I make up amazingly complex stories to fll the void.

I like links

Re: demo reel shot with dvx

Much better,

But wheres the girl with the missing teeth? I like your dolly movements. It looks cool.

Re: demo reel shot with dvx

Damn'it man! now I'm like disappointed. All this hype but I still don't see the girls with no teeth, sheesh, what a ripoff 8)

Re: demo reel shot with dvx

If you don't mind divulging in your secrets ::) what'd you do to achieve those dolly shots? At first I thought wheelchair, but they were too smooth, as if the camera was mount on a tripod. Then I saw the dolly moves were linear so it must have been on a track. Maybe it was a doorway dolly on piping, the camera on sticks weighed down by sandbags? Just guessing because those shots were beautiful.

You treat the camera like a film camera, treating the lens almost as a prime lens as opposed to excessive zooms. That's probably why you had to use dolly moves in most of those shots you showed on your demo reel. I enjoyed and I was impressed, hats of sir to you sir.

Re: demo reel shot with dvx

But then again I could just be retarded :P because I'm actually browsing the internet on a 8 inch monitor and the footage I viewed was the size of postal stamp. I should get my head checked ;D.
