DEMO REEL - Making formats work together...?

OK so after 10 years its finally time to make a demo reel:2vrolijk_08:. A majority of my footage is 720/24pn and 1080/60i, with some SD footage both anamorphic and 4:3.

My question is what is the best route to go to get these formats to work together in one timeline, and which timeline should I go with. I want to go with 1080.

I have Avid studio essentials, and sorenson squeeze. Any suggestions on how to get this up and running? ? ? Any advice is welcomed!!

In terms of frame rate I would of course suggest to edit in 60i since you don't even have 24pA footage. Even if you did 60i would be the way to go and just convert your 24pA to 24pN. This will allow your 60i footage to really look interlaced when viewed on a NTSC television.

In regards to resolution, I would personally go with editing it in a SD timeline. I don't think too many people will even be equiped to view your reel on an HD television and even if they did, I don't think you would want to have sd right next to 720 or 1080 it will just stand out (in a bad way). The majority of people who view reels are going to be doing it on the web anyway.

Well the final medium will be blu-ray disc, (and of course DVD), but definitely HD, my big corporate clients like HD because I can burn an HD wmv onto a CD with better resolution and smaller file size than DVD, and they all watch everything on the computer too.

Sounds like 1080/60i, no I dont have any 1080/24pa footage. If I export quicktime references of 720/24pn to Sorensen, and convert them to 1080/60i it should work/look correctly? Sound too?
