(I wasn't quite sure were to post this as it's in cinematography as well, mods help me out?)

looks good man very modern. It looks like you broke allot of rules and it worked out in your benefit, hard to pull off but really good when done in moderation.

Brock, I loved the visual transition displayed between the kiss (1:30) and the punch (roughly 1:39ish). It invokes a wonderful blend of intense emotion.

Thanks guys. I'm all for breaking "rules" as they are called. haha. But seriously, i appreciate the input and compements.

Swiftrock, if you like that shot, go back to my vimeo page and watch VISCERAL.

Lots of really nice shots in there, love the intensity and juxtaposition of the material. Only neg thing I would say (it's real minor) your "mission statement" at the end goes by pretty fast.

The "soft porn" comment on your vimeo page is pretty funny, maybe the guy just got out of the convent and hasn't really been on the internet that long... boy is he in for a surprise!

I thought the footage and effects were very good. One personal not for em though/..is oculous studios a company you own? When you do jobs do the clients make the checks out to Oculous studios?

Its just a small thing but if its not a company you are working under but just a name you come up with I would almost say not to include it. Put your name at the beginning to take credit for the work and to stand out.

This is kind of a personal opinion that might not be shared by anyone else, but if you are freelance I think you should put your name at the beginning instead of a "company" name that you made up.. Now on the other side, if you do work for this company and these were company projects then include the name.

This is just my 2 cents and personal opinion. Great job on the reel and do what you think is necessary :)

Well it's a sole proprietorship so I am Oculus Studios. I own and am the single employee. Haha. I wanted something I could use to promote myself and give out to potential clients for my company.

Don't take this the wrong way.... you do excellent work... depending on the type of work you are seeking it might be a little too powerful for some clients. I didn't see a telephone number or e-mail address.... it would be the first way I would want to make contact if I was doing the hiring.

I understand. it's fine if you are trying to get work and plan on working through Oculous studios. The point that you might change it would be if you are applying to a company for a full time position, then I would put your name. But sense you plan on working through your company its not a big deal because you are trying to sell the companies services as opposed to your individual services. Make sense?
