Demo Reel 07

Nothin? Pace ok? Variety?

Greeches,
What is it that you're going for in your demo? It's hard to tell if there's a point of view at all in your pieces. Almost like someone is changing the channels on their tv. I mean -- What do you specialize in the most? What's your forte? We go from home type of footage to horrific imagery and it just doesn't work well for me. Sorry! Case and point -- Why is the shot of the boy sitting on the couch reading there at all? Is this a compelling, impressive, moving shot or is it there to fill time. Demo reels need to be AMAZING from start to finish. If a shot is there that doesn't suggest good lighting, color grading, acting, storytelling, mood, whatever, then it needs to be taken out.
Also, the compression is pretty bad as well. I don't know about other people but the youtube thing is getting on my nerves. Anyways, the only shot that looked interesting to me was the guy lying down on the bed a few seconds prior to the end credit.
I hope this helps in some way. I know is not easy to take criticism but you did ask for feedback.

Thanks so much! That's exactly what I needed to hear. I need to better organize my footage and search for the best of the best. I basically pulled from local drives to derive that set. I agree w/ the compression rate, I need to do mpeg4 before uploading.

Thanks for the feedback!!
