Deleting multiple files

Does anyone know of a way to delete multiple files, other than to select "delete" from the menu, then select each one and then hit OK? I hate putting fingerprints all over the LCD and using the menu buttons is ridiculously cumbersome. I know this can be done by deleting files on the card when it's on the computer, but there are times when I forget to do this and find a card full of files in the field.

I there is not, as I suspect, then I would throw in "delete all" in the menu as a feature/firmware upgrade request.

If you want to delete all, it's best to format the card. It doesn't get any easier than that.
