Deleting files from Sony SXS Memcard

You can do it either in the camera or in a computer that accepts the card (usually only laptops). In the camera, go to the "Others" in the Menu (the last selection)... scroll down to Delete Clip (the last one recorded) or Delete ALL clips. Select what you want to do.
But Caution... as Doug Jensen of Vortex Media Training warns, best to only have ONE card in the camera when you're doing any procedure like this. Amazing how the camera might switch slots on you and then you end up deleting clips from the other slot...that you DID NOT intend to delete. That's a world of hurt in trying to get them back. Been there.
Also, Doug advises to use the Delete All Clips function rather than to re-format SxS cards and loose all the camera settings on the card. If using SDHC cards in a Flash34 reader, the opposite is the case...better to reformat those to clear latent data that will cause Media Errors.
