Deleting clips from p2 card

playing with new hvx - trying to delete several clips from the card but some won't delete - not finding anything that tells me what I'm doing wrong

Make sure the clips are high-lighted with a blue box around them by selecting them first, then hit delete.
BTW Reading the manual is always a good way of learning the basics.
 
thanks for the tip but that didn't work - and I have scanned the manual

their numbers showed in red so I couldn't play them due to format differences and they would not delete
 
Thats your problem. You scaned it rather than read it. Read the Part about Recording setup. make sure the its set the same as it was recorded.

You can access clips that were recorded in the mode that you currently have the cam set in. If you recorded 720pn mode, for example, you cannot access a 480 clip, etc.

when you highlight a clip the format and mode and it was recorded in will be displayed at the bottom of the screen
