SHORT: Definitely Dead - a western

Hi guys

I'm not that active in here anymore, but I really need to share this with you anyway. It's my first english language film, shot here in Denmark, using Danish actors. Also it's a western which is not a common genre in these parts

It's been in the works for a little over a year, shot mostly in studio. Set building and dressing was done completely from scratch by our own team.

Thanks guys. As Americans, did you find the language and accent convincing?

Wow! It's a great story about greed- universal to all parts and throughout history of the world. I'm surprised with the accents! I'd say their accents are fairly convincing- a tad stilted but I'm not sure if it's from the pacing of the edit or the actors focusing on their speech. I love the story. The opening shot is pretty good too. I live in the Western US, the scrub brush is common- even in mountain areas that have more precipitation, but many of the areas with those mountain formations really do have red dirt. I'll say this, though, Lars is a terrible shot!

It looks great, what did you shoot this on? The accents didn't sound that bad, and I'm in Texas.

First off, I'm so happy you guys like the accents. Lots of people in Denmark have tried, and failed miserably in doing english language on film. With this project I set out to prove it could be done.

It was shot on a Red One. The background matte is done as a combination of AfterFX, 3dsMax and a photograph by Reid Helms taken in Shiprock, NM.
