Defective GH1 - Green Lines

I was reading the thread on banding/FPN, but I'm not sure if it applies to what I'm seeing on my own unit. I get 2 green vertical lines, left of center, at all times, but it is most noticeable in underexposed scenes. The lines aren't visible in still shots, or when looking through the EVF/LCD before the camera begins recording. They just pop in when I hit the rec button and disappear when I stop recording at all ISO/A/S/SH/FHD settings.

I definitely cannot work around this problem, so the camera (Japanese model) is going back, but I'd appreciate any opinions on this issue. As I said before, I'm not sure if this is the same FPN problem that everyone seems to encounter, or something entirely different.

Cheers!

(hopefully you can see/download the picture below..)

it's necessarily as bad, but it's very similar. it took me a while to find the thread but check this out. maybe it's something you have to send back. also, you're definitely way under exposed that's why you're getting more than just the green line. i think that the green line is also the result of under exposing too. but could be more.

Thanks for the link. I've seen the green lines in well exposed scenes, but it is something you have to look for and the portion of the sensor affected has to fall on colors that bring it out. Unfortunately, I'll be using the cam indoors a lot with little control over the lighting. I can live with the rest of the noise, mud and banding, just not the green lines, which I gather now are not typical of this model.
