Ok, I know how many times people start "how do I get the film look" topics on dvxuser, but my question is a little different.
I love Barry's "Filmic" Scene file, and I've been using it a lot. Cine D/Cine V are also nice. But are they replicating the look of unedited film? Or are they replicating the look of edited/CC'd film? Does that make sense?
I'd been planning to take some 35mm stills to compare with different scene files, but haven't had time yet. But I'm trying to figure out what scene files best replicate the look of unedited film footage. Is 35mm film as contrasty unedited as the "filmic" scene file?
