Dedicated Black and White Mode?

I would think the same physics would apply. Red and yellow filters will lighten foilage and darken sky. I could be wrong, but since your in black and white mode, it should react with light the same way if I had to stick my neck out and make a judgement on this.
 
You don't hear me say this often... in fact, almost ever. But doing it in post is better, imo. You can grab onto very specific chroma ranges and manipulate them in very precise and controlled ways. More so than using filters (unless you have LOTS of filters)... I can't believe I just said that. :(

Almost all modern b&w films originate on color stock. And for good reason. Mainly has to do with the film stocks, but hey.
